My Project

All teachers and parents can agree that doing art activities can promote a fun learning environment. Art activities engage learners in wanting to learn more. It is also a less stressful way to learn. This is especially true for special needs students who need multiple modes of learning.

Creating art projects can expand the way special needs students think and process new information.

In my classroom, the students focus on one letter per week. Each day of the week, we create art that represents that letter. For example, the letter T we have created artwork to represent a train, a tie, toucan, trashcan and tiger.
