My Project
My students learn basic and advanced phonics skills every morning based on their skill levels. Research shows that when students apply their learning to reading and other word work activities, their learning accelerates.
A color printer and needed paper will allow us to create hands on phonics activities like word sorts, picture sorts, colorful blending lines, and we would be able to print decodable texts that match the skills my students are working on.
It would also make it easy for us to differentiate word work for each group. We could also create and print colorful anchor charts for the classroom.
