My students need post it easel pad to learn the concepts better. My diverse learners are visual learners. We need colorful chart markers to make the anchor charts on the easel paper more attractive to the children.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are bright, motivated, and one-of-a-kind individuals. They put a smile on my face each and every day, and they all enjoy coming to school and succeeding in the classroom. I feel so blessed to be their special education teacher, and I am lucky to work in such a rewarding field.
Even though it has become extremely difficult and sometimes frustrating to educate without needed supplies, our students still come to school eager to learn.
Our school rarely has extra funding for enriching material and if they do, the funds are used for older students. Many of my students' families will never have additional money to purchase educational materials. Therefore, I hope to be able to provide a fun and interesting way of learning so my students can succeed in life.
My Project
I work with fourth and fifth-grade students who are visual learners. A visual learner benefits from anchor charts that catch their eye.
When my students are learning a new concept I write it in color on chart paper and stick it on the board.
I make sure the students understand the focus for the week.
I requested plastic sheet cover to help protect their phonics work for the week. The students can write and wipe off the phonics skill of the week. I can reuse the sheet protector daily and just replace the skill sheet. This is a great tool not just to be kept in a binder.
