This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach science to a wonderful group of seventh and eighth graders in New Haven, CT. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and family dynamics. Not only are my students trying to master many topics in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Earth Science; many are also English Language Learners!

Each one is eager to learn, explore and discover the world around them!

I am excited to help them explore the world around them and to share my love of science to everyone of my students!

My Project

In my science classroom I like to do a lot of hands on lessons, projects, and activities. Colored pencils and markers will help my students be able to create models of their design and to color code various information. We also will need some tape to help us put these activities together. The pencil cases will help me to keep the supplies contained and all ready and set for groups.

I want my students to be able to create models to help them learn, study, and to be creative!

Having colored paper will also help my students in being creative with their models. I can also be able to provide them color coded handouts for the various projects we will be doing throughout the year.
