Colored Communication

My students need 1 colored printer to complete our school newspaper. We have 2 newspapers we produce every month. We create 1 for our PK-5 grades and 1 for grades 6-12.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. R.'s classroom raised $492

My Students

Can you imagine working hard for an entire month to create an amazing newspaper for your entire school only to have the disappointment of having to print it in just black and white? Naturally we are driven to color and our students need a printer to show the school how creative they really can be.

My students are very creative students in grades 9-12 who are hand picked for the opportunity and privilege of being on our school newspaper staff.

They take their job seriously and work hard all month long to create an amazing newspaper for our young students grades P-K to 5, as well as they create a whole different paper for our grades 6-12. My students come from very low income homes and most do not have both parents and a large majority do not even live with a parental guardian. My school is a country school that is limited in funds. We do the best we can and our school is very supportive but funds are just not available to support a color printer request. This project would supply that need and show my students that hard work does pay off and working hard is sometimes rewarded by total strangers.

My Project

My students would use this printer to create 2 amazing newspapers each and every month for our entire school district to see. We would be able to produce a state of the art newspaper that every student would be proud to have their name on. This printer could also be used by our computer technology classroom for special projects and assignments so it would have a double benefit when funded.

This project donation would improve our ability to teach students state of the art newspaper techniques as well as allow us to be competitive compared to other high school newspapers in our area.

This will show our students that they do matter and their hard work will be seen by our entire district.
