Colorado Salt Dough Map

Help me give my students the supplies to create a salt dough map of Colorado! In 4th grade we take a deep dive into Colorado history and this will give an opportunity to create a topographic map.

My Project

Learning about Colorado history is an integral part of 4th grade and this project is one of the best ways to give students a hands-on activity to better understand Colorado's dynamic geography. These materials will allow us to create topographic maps of Colorado. We will use these supplies to produce salt dough. After students have started learning about Colorado's geography, each student will construct a topographic salt dough map of Colorado. They will have to carefully mold the topography throughout the state. This is one of our students' favorite projects throughout the year!
