Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students love going to Specials and the Art Room is a place where they learn the Principles of Design and the Elements of Art. We are at a Title I school with a large diverse group of students. Our school population is economically disadvantaged. My students will be able to enjoy these materials as in other schools.
My Project
Using watercolor paint allows my students to see the beauty of color in their artwork. When they put water onto the color palette and watch the transformation of dry paint and water come together they get to experience the creation of their artwork come alive before their eyes. To hear the excitement in their voices is priceless.
My students will get to experiment painting with watercolors which most of my students do not have many opportunities outside of our school.
These materials will give my students bright and vibrant colors to bring their artwork to life.
