Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The requested materials will go towards teaching middle schoolers about color theory. Color theory helps with critiquing and presenting artwork.
By using acrylic paint and canvas panels, students get to have a hands-on experience with mixing colors and understanding the color wheel through visual representation.
Students at Codman Academy love when painting come to the art studio. It allows them to learn perseverance by taking their time and appreciating their work. A large part of artists' work depends on color placement. Different colors enhance others and this project will highlight the many strengths of color theory.
