My students need toner, colored paper, staplers, and copy paper to make our classroom more vibrant; color printouts will upgrade student work and classroom visuals!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to school everyday excited to learn! They are inquisitive about the world around them. We strive to broaden their horizons and challenge their minds. We face many obstacles in our ICT classroom, from lack of classroom resources to wishing for those extra materials, that would take us to the next level in our educational journey, but we come together as a caring and responsible community, always mindful to respect each other.
We celebrate our differences while we learn and grow together.
My Project
Last year, we were extremely fortunate and received enough donations to get a colored printer for our classroom. This printer most certainly brightened our classroom and enhanced our technology center! Now, we need replacement toner, bright colored paper and more copy paper. Our students will utilize these items to make their projects come alive. Our students will be able to publish their writing and embellish their illustrations. By incorporating a fully stocked publishing station, our students will be able to not only work through but also complete the writing process. We will also be able to create chromatic visuals. Many of our learners, especially our special education students, learn best when using visuals. Visuals help build comprehension, strengthen understanding and maintain retention of information.
I am certain that with this brilliant addition of supplies to the classroom our students will feel a sense of pride, accomplishment, and ownership of their work; student motivation and academic success will definitely improve in our class!
Imagine how our students will feel when they are able to see their amazing work in living color. When they see the colorful visuals that are stimulating and engaging I can guarantee they will do their best!
