My Project
In special education, being able to provide documents and visuals to both students and families is very important. Since school printers are often overwhelmed by the demands of the entire school, it can be difficult to ensure that materials are prepared for IEP meetings, visual supports, and student work. Often, a classroom team is scrambling to find an unoccupied printer!
By providing a designated printer for our special education classroom, our team will be able to provide engaging academic tasks to our students and ensure families get the information that they need!
A color printer and copier in the classroom will mean that we will be able to print out current data, documentation, and surveys for parents. Additionally, we would be able to provide our students with fully colored visual aids, schedules, decodable books, and task boxes to support their IEP goals. This can be essential in special education, particularly when a classroom has students with autism or visual impairment, as our classrooms do.
