Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am excited to introduce you to my classroom of diverse and vibrant learners, who are eager to explore the world of reading through creative expression. Our students come from low-income backgrounds, facing various challenges that impact their access to resources and opportunities. Many of them struggle with reading proficiency, which affects their confidence and engagement in academic activities. What sets my students apart is their passion for music. They find joy and motivation in melodies and rhythms, which we aim to harness in our learning environment. By incorporating music into our reading activities, we believe we can create a more engaging and supportive space for them to improve their literacy skills.
Our project focuses on three core activities: reading, coloring, and listening to music.
By integrating these elements, we will provide our students with a multi-sensory learning experience that fosters creativity and encourages a love for reading. The use of colorful materials and music will help capture their attention, making the learning process enjoyable and relatable. With your support, we can provide essential resources that will help our students thrive in their literacy journey. Together, we can inspire them to become confident readers and lifelong learners!
