it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My fourth-grade class is bright, diverse, and curious. They are 21st century learners, equally adept with iPads and Chromebooks as with pencil and paper. However, when students type up their finals drafts and complete their STEAM projects, printing with plain black ink sometimes doesn't do their work justice.
This is why we need a color ink to add pizzazz and pop to their projects!
Our Writer's Workshop board currently features students' narrative writing task, " A Day in the Life of a 49'er" - tying in narrative writing with our California Gold Rush social studies unit.
Having replacement color ink for our Brother printer will enable my students to add vibrant images to complement their writing. It will also make it so much easier for me to display photos of our learning in action around the classroom.
Comfy bean bag chairs will also add vibrant color to our classrooms. Our current bean bag chairs have been well used and well loved over the last four years and are now popping seams. Welcoming new chairs for the spring quarter of this year would be a highlight for my class.
