Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students from my school come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The majority of them are two to three grade levels behind in reading, writing, and mathematics and have struggled to catch up since middle school.
They come to my school hoping to become lawyers to make a difference in the world around them.
In essence, they want to become contributing members of society, not just functioning ones. They want to learn and need a little more support to become better contenders in a competitive world.
My Project
Now that all students have a device in the classroom, they can create beautiful presentations to demonstrate what they learn. However, we now need a color printer that can capture the beauty of their work. With technology becoming a huge part of education, it is important to have all the accessories accessible in order to truly take advantage of all that it has to offer. Having a color printer in the classroom will make printing finished products easy and fun to display, let alone all of the beautiful handouts teachers make to engage students.
