Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Art it a wonderful escape and career option for many students in our high school population. We are located in a high need community were resources are scarce.
Many of my students are interested in computer graphics and animation. Unfortunately with looming budget cuts in our district, the money is too tight for much of what we need in the art room.
Many of the projects we do in art class require a color printer. A printer will enable students to print out images and sources of inspiration for their artwork from the Internet, as well as print their original and graphic artwork.
Many of my students are interested in art as a career and need to create a portfolio of their artwork to get into college. A color printer will help them to prepare their portfolios with high quality reproductions of their graphic design images as well as their original art pieces.
