This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 21 curious, enthusiastic, creative, and incredibly KIND groups of first-graders at a Title I School. Most of my students are English Language Learners and are learning to acquire a second language. These students are embarking on their reading, writing, and math skills while trying to build friendships that they missed out on last year due to distance learning. They are eager and ready to take on any challenge brought upon them!

My Project

Our classroom is seeking a color printer so that students can do things such as create color-coded, sight word flashcards, make labels with color clip art that will help them read the room, print their narrative and animal reports in colorful displays, and help them make visual schedules of our school day.

A color printer will provide colorful, rich print to all my first graders and will help them visually gain knowledge and access to reading, writing, and so much more.

My class is very excited at the opportunity of getting a color printer to help them visually learn!
