This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a poster maker for our classroom to support the creation of high-quality anchor charts and visual learning tools. To supplement, TPT has resources to use at every grade level that are visually appealing. Anchor charts play a critical role in student learning by making thinking visible, reinforcing key academic concepts, and providing a consistent reference for students throughout our units of study. A poster maker would allow us to produce durable, visually engaging charts that are easy to read from any part of the classroom and can be reused from year to year. This tool would be especially helpful in supporting English learners and students with special needs by providing accessible visuals that clarify academic vocabulary, step-by-step strategies, and content-specific processes across subjects.

Having a poster maker on site would also support our school's emphasis on hands-on, student-centered learning.

Instead of relying on small, handwritten charts or generic purchased posters, we could create customized visuals directly tied to our students’ current learning goals and language. These charts often reflect the language we co-construct during discussions, small group lessons, and class investigations—supporting student voice and engagement. With access to a poster maker, we can elevate the visibility and impact of these tools, ensuring they truly serve as a bridge between instruction and independent application.
