Help me give my students these creative-art materials to construct beautiful art projects and writing projects during this learning-at-home time, by using the markers, pencils, crayons, watercolor paints, and booklets.
Wow! Things have definitely been different for my students since our last day of school on 3/13/20, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. If I would have known that day we were not coming back to school, I would have sent them home with all-they-could-carry to continue their learning at home.
All my students come from low-income homes and live in an economically and impoverished area.
During this time, my students remote learning circumstances are very difficult for them. Due to lack of technology and internet; their learning is limited to hands-on activities using pencil-paper-art supplies.
My Project
Help my students that are shuttered-in and have minimal creative-art supplies at home or resources to purchase them, to continue their learning at home. With these creative art supplies, they will be able to express their learning through open-ended art activities and also be specific in their creations regarding teacher-directed activities.
The variety of art supplies will able my students to make multiple creations using the colored construction paper or drawing paper.
Also, the booklets will allow my students to create their own stories, drawing their own illustrations and practicing their English-language-arts, as they practice printing their name and reading their own story!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
