Help me give my students color ink for our printer to make manipulatives!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Biondo's classroom raised $429
This project is fully funded
My Students
My sixth, seventh and eighth grade classes love to be engaged in the mystery and excitement of hands-on activities. Each day, we learn, discuss, and discover parts of their world that they didn't look at as closely as they do in a science classroom. I encourage students to debate and question the world around them.
This year I have the pleasure of having brilliant young sixth, seventh, and eighth grade scientists.
They love to get their hands messy in science experiments. With every unit of study, their understanding of the world around them sparks engaging discussions and debates of science. Unfortunately, budgets are tight, and lab activities and experiments that require ordered materials each year rarely get funded. Every year I am surprised the weakness of my students' science vocabulary. Learning vocabulary is not always enjoyable, and I work hard to come up with new and exciting ways to present the material.
My Project
Color images are so important in science. Our classroom has run out of color ink for our printer! This means we can't print our beautiful student created projects, or science manipulatives.
Science needs to be in color!
Without color ink the images we examine have less meaning to us. In addition, I have many students who have very poor or no internet service in their homes. These students are in need of printed copies of hand outs and lessons when quarantined to keep up with the rigorous pace of this course.
More than half of students from low‑income households
