My Project
My students are growing up in a resilient, culturally rich neighborhood in Houston’s 5th Ward. As a teacher in a low-income, Title 1 classroom, I see every day how much potential they have, but also how much support we still need.
This project will provide us with Crayola Crayon Classpacks, a 3,000+ piece arts & crafts kit, watercolor sets, washable paints, construction paper, notebooks, and other hands-on supplies that allow students to explore their creativity and express themselves.
These materials will be used daily for everything from writing prompts and art centers to SEL activities and team-building projects.
We are also requesting cleaning supplies, storage bins, paper dispensers, and aprons to help us stay organized, safe, and classroom-ready.
Many of our students don’t have access to these basic tools at home, but when they walk into our classroom, I want them to feel excited, empowered, and proud. Your donation gives my students the opportunity to think big, create boldly, and believe in themselves one brushstroke at a time.
