My students need a color printer and ink to bring their work to life, and a color printer will add depth, dimension and excitement to their research papers.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Why do two colors, put one next to the other, sing? Can one really explain this? No." Pablo Picasso had a point, and my students would benefit greatly from a color printer in the classroom.
My students are from south Los Angeles county, the majority of them are latinos, many are second language learners, and they attend a high school with more than 3000 students.
They are part of the Health, Science, and Medicine Academy at our high school.
My Project
In my Professional Reading & Writing class my students are writing 1000+ word research papers and have created classroom encyclopedias on "Professions in Science" as well as different types of cancers. This work includes graphics, and with a color printer in our classroom we could really make these assignments even more impressive.
My students need a color printer and toner to make their hard work come to life.
They spend so much time writing and finding just the right image, yet many do not have color printers at home. Having this technology in the class room would allow the students to see their hard work as they imagined it, not just in black and white.
