Color Me Motivated!

My students need a color printer and cartridges for the classroom to make manipulatives more exciting!

My Students

School is fun! Mrs. Wilson tries to make it fun! But competing with fun outside the classroom is difficult. I need to add color to our classroom in more ways than one to keep the brain working and add a little fun.

My students are amazing little people!

They are eager to learn every single day. They are inquisitive and want to know so much about the world around them. Sometimes they don't have the experiences that other children might have. It is my goal to provide them with as many life experiences I can. Experiences that they might not have if it wasn't for being a part of my classroom. Over half the students in our school are on free or reduced lunch which means poverty is very real to these students. But at our school we are a family and we take care of each other. I say to my students very often that we are a big family in a small house. We live, learn and love together.

My Project

Having a color printer in our classroom would mean so much to me and to my students. Our school does not have the resources or money to buy printers for each teacher or classroom. Having a printer that can print color copies would mean no more boring manipulatives! We use these manipulatives like flash cards, center cards and books every single day. Much of the time, they are all printed in black and white. Color adds so much more fun and keeps the students engaged in their learning. Having a printer in the classroom will also allow students to create color presentations that they do alone or collaboratively.

A color printer will light up our classroom with CoLoR!

It will allow students to be creative in their learning. It will add pizazz to our manipulatives. No more boring flashcards, teacher made books! Now we have color.
