This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our amazing school is located on the southwest side of Chicago. My students come from mostly low-income families. Many of our students speak both English and Spanish. I teach first graders who are eager to come to school everyday and learn as much as possible. I would love to create a welcoming and safe environment to help my students succeed.

My Project

These art materials will bring creative outlets for my students. I think art is a great way for young students to destress abs unwind. People underestimate how much these youngsters endure day in and day out. Through art, students can express themselves in a mindless matter. The dry erase markers will be used in our everyday learning. Whether in small group literacy centers or in whole group math lessons students love using dry erase markers to write. The stickers are a fun and easy way to motivate students. First graders go crazy for stickers.
