My Students

Most of the students attended the same elementary school and have been friends for several years. To them, their classmates are close like their family. They support and help each other along the way in their journey of learning. They are creative, innovative, and curious. Our school is a Title I school. Many of our students come from low-income families; all of our students receive free lunch. Many of them will hopefully be the first in their families to go to college. Over half of them do not speak English at home, and for many, English is not their first language. Most of them are ELLs (English Language Learners). The diverse student population helps the students to embrace differences and bring in learning opportunities to one another.

My Project

The students are very creative. They have been learning and showing their learning from the unit through different projects. They print out words and pictures to create posters. They print out brochures they created for their project to submit. Our classroom printer will need some color ink to continue the vital role it played this school year in the classroom.

With the color ink cartridges, we can print things in color and show off our learning on brochures, flyers and posters.

It is also used to print out posters to put on our classroom walls. Students are very excited to see their creations come alive. With the ink, we can continue to use our printer to help us to learn!
