My Students
I teach Biology in the largest school in our County. As with so many schools, funding has been completely cut back, and class sizes are on the rise. One of my primary focuses, other than teaching content, is to make this class one in which all students learn and grow to reach their own individual potential.
My students are athletes, scholars, artists, workers, gifted, challenged, affluent, and impoverished.
Finding common ground for all these characteristics is one of my favorite challenges to undertake.

My Project
This color printer will replace the black ink only laser jet I currently have in my room.
Visual learners need vibrant colors to become vibrant learners.
I am excited to have the ability to print in full color to help them see diagrams that are color coded.
This printer also has a scanning capability, which I will use often as well. To help with organization, I consolidate the week's material into a "packet" to distribute to students. Currently I use my own scanner at home to collate the items, save as a PDF and publish to my website. This capability at school will allow me to do those things at school rather than at home.
