This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a frequent customer of the big chain office supply stores. Though I do occasionally purchase school supplies, I am most often in the stores to use the color copy machines to print student work and items for use in the classroom. With five dollars here and twenty dollars there, I feel that I have spent a small fortune in money and time making color copies.
There are many times when color copying is a must and being able to make copies easily when needed will be exceedingly helpful.
With a color copier in the classroom, I will be able to print student artwork, color-coded vocabulary cards, reference materials, maps, and posters. With so much of their work being done digitally, a copier will allow my students to print quality copies of their writing and other work for display. Thanks to a colleague, my students now participate in a local arts integration program, and I would love to be able to print their work in color.
