This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our awesome, K-2nd grade, Mild to Moderate Special Day Class students are smart and eager to learn. Although the Kindergarten students have not been in school due to closures, they demonstrate curiosity for learning. Likewise, students in 2nd grade show the desire to learn and the positive attitude necessary for school success.

My Project

Our students rely on visual support on a daily basis. Colorful materials create child engagement. Being able to make colored materials to keep in class and send home has been just a dream. However, this color printer can make that dream come true. It would help us have on-demand colored copies in the classroom for any concept being taught, visual cues, picture rules we may need to keep at our desks, personalized schedules or simply creating work of art. The world was meant to be seen in color and our classroom should not be the exception.
