This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The purpose of this project is to obtain coloring and journaling books and pencils for our wellness center, Serenity Space. These items will help to provide our students with opportunities to practice mindfulness skills and calming techniques throughout their busy day.
Coloring and journaling are tools that can be utilized throughout life and can open the door to healing and self-discovery.
This will provide our students with a means to be creative and expressive; while receiving the calming and smoothing benefits of the tools. It's a healthy way to release tension and provide quiet moments of self-reflection.
