My Project

Our 5th grade class is embarking on an exciting journey into the past as we study colonial life, and we need your help to bring history to life! We are creating a student-led Colonial Museum where each student will take on the role of a museum docent. To fully immerse themselves in the experience, students will design and create their own colonial-style costumes, allowing them to step into character and guide visitors through exhibits they’ve researched and built themselves. From spinning wheels to candle-making, our classroom will be transformed into a living museum that reflects the ingenuity and daily lives of early American settlers.

Your generous donation will help us purchase essential materials like fabric, art supplies, and display items that students will use to create both their costumes and exhibits.

This hands-on, immersive project fosters creativity, collaboration, and a deep understanding of history by allowing students to “live” the lessons they learn. By supporting this project, you're not only funding a classroom activity — you're empowering students to become confident historians, public speakers, and artists.
