My Students

Our school is a very diverse public school in Boston, serving students in grades 6-12 from throughout the city. We believe that every student can learn and develop into a responsible citizen when provided with an environment that is both nurturing and challenging. We offer a college preparatory curriculum which includes interdisciplinary project-based learning, where technology is the bridge that connects the student to his/her learning experience.

Many students will be the first in their family to attend college, or the first in their family to graduate from high school in the United States.

We like to have a big Decision Day to celebrate their accomplishments, and this year I want to make it bigger than ever! Students in the suburbs are recognized for their achievements, and I believe my students deserve the same recognition.

My Project

Seniors across the country are celebrating their college decisions, and we are no different! We want to throw a big party for our seniors to showcase their hard work and their plans for next year. We invite parents and community partners to come celebrate with the seniors they've been helping for years. We also invite local community colleges to do On-the-Spot Admissions for students who have not yet chosen a school.

In the past we've had certificates, photo ops with our headmasters, and cake, but this year we want to step it up!

We will be giving away college swag, enjoying food, and printing keepsake photos for the seniors to take with them! We also want to give each student a thumb drive with a copy of photos from high school and space to save more next year.
