My students need spirit shirts to promote our college going culture on campus. I want my students to be exposed to a variety of colleges, and use my alumni enthusiasm to spread a love for learning.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are high achievers. They love to put their best food forward, and are inspired to think outside of the box. Their parents value education greatly, and do much to support learning outside of the school day.
The students of today will be the leaders of tomorrow; future doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and software designers.
As a teacher it is my job to prepare these students for careers that are not in existence yet. By giving my students opportunities in the classroom to grow and succeed, I can see that I am shaping the future of our GREAT nation.
My Project
Our campus is promoting a college-going culture this year, with each classroom representing a different college, or university. The classes will be known by the name of that college. As a CSULB alumni, I wanted to expose my Texas student scholars to universities outside of their normal realm of possibilities.
As a fun way to promote this college going culture, I thought it would be exciting for my students to have California State University, Long Beach t-shirts to wear on spirit days.
Many students think only of colleges and universities close to home. I want my students to think of the university that is a best fit for them to learn their desired path in education, not just the ones close to home.
