This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a College, Career, and Military Readiness teacher and advisor, and I am co-planning our 2nd Annual College Decision Day for our seniors. DHS is a 9th through 12th grade campus in the Donna Independent School District (DISD) located in Donna, Texas. It is located in the center of the Rio Grande Valley.
Many of our Seniors will become first-generation college graduates.
We want to ensure they get an unforgettable experience and celebration as they announce their college of choice. We want to highlight these students and their parents for ensuring they are college ready, as most are economically disadvantaged and have persisted through many challenges.
Your donation is to decorate our Fine Arts Auditorium with pompoms, lights and balloons and to increase the joy during this celebration. We will be inviting underclassmen, so they are also motivated to attend college. Thank you for your generosity!
