My school needs 1 magazine/brochure wall display rack.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. M.'s classroom raised $303
This project is fully funded
I am actually a high school senior in NC and I am currently working on my senior research project. Our senior projects need to address a social justice issue; my topic is domestic violence. This issue is a growing problem in our community, and I feel its important to start promoting building and maintaining healthy relationships early on, like in middle and high school.
There are not a lot of resources available in our community and people just don't know where to reach out for help when they need it. By having this centralized resource center, people could have simple, easy access to a variety of materials that could help better their lives.
As part of my senior project, I am placing a resource center in our school. This means that there will be a display in our school where brochures about domestic violence can be displayed for parents, students, staff members, and community members to access. In addition, I would love for the display case to also contain other types of materials for people regarding health and social issues.
By having this resource center available, students, parents, and other community members might be able to find solutions to their problems and if they don't find the answers on paper, they can at least use this literature as a way to reach out for help in our area.
