This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a small school in a low socioeconomic neighborhood and many of our families are working day and night to support their children to a bright future. We are a multicultural community school that prepares students to graduate with the skills they need to be ready in their post-secondary success, and to achieve their goals in college and career.
As their school counselor, I will be supporting students with their college applications and scholarships.
I am hoping to add a standing desk in counseling office for students to use when they are here for support. The drawer is to help keep students confidential documents as we are meeting with students and families to collect necessary information to help with applying for financial aid and colleges.
