Help me give my students an Apple - MacBook Pro 14' Laptop for collecting and analyzing lab data.

My Project

My students love to use the Web to do research and study from online tutorials and lab simulations, as well as collect data from various labs. My problem is that the number of computers in my classroom make it so that students have to share in groups which often times leaves a student out.

I teach College Prep Chemistry & Earth Science to a great group of students at a Southern California public charter school.

My students are tech savvy and are currently turned off by the limited access to computers capable of high power operations I am able to offer in my classroom. They love to study by using online practice tests and review exercises, but often cannot with my current technology.

My solution is to equip them with a MacBook laptop because it will enable my students to participate in online lab simulations and collect real time data in order to improve their understanding of the basic principles of Physics and Ecosystem Interactions.

Your generosity will make it possible for me to provide my students with up to date technology, which will allow them to become excited about Science and using the Web for research and lab simulations.
