Help me give my students dry erase boards and applicable supplies for collaboration within the classroom as well as a class set of the Percy Jackson book that they've requested.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are members of a low-income environment in which COVID-19 has negatively impacted them in most aspects of their lives. Most of them had been forced to stay home over the last two years as they needed to stay at home with their younger siblings to take care of them. Economically they have been impacted as most of their parents' jobs had been at risk during the COVID time. These supplies will be directly related to helping students to continue their social-emotional and academic learning as they will be incorporating the white boards for more collaboration to work on their struggling social skills from lack of being in a classroom and having to maintain social distancing as well as including a book that the students themselves have requested to read. If they've requested this text, they are more inclined to be fully involved and wanting to participate fully in their learning.
