My Project

I plan to integrate the Osmo Learning System into my classroom to increase collaborative learning among students. As an Early Kindergarten teacher, it is essential that I reach the needs of all students in my classroom. When students enter my classroom in the fall, they come in at many different levels and abilities. Some students enter as young five-your-olds and others enter as older four-year-olds. Some are below average, and others are above average in both academic, social and emotional and life experiences. As an Early education teacher, I reach all students and their abilities by teaching the Daily 5. This allows me to group my kids in 5 different groups, where some kids are working on letter/word work, listening to reading, practicing writing, working on technology, and lastly working with me on skills based on what each individual student/group needs. During our technology time, Osmos would benefit learning by enhancing all subject areas and providing hands-on activities that minimize swiping and create collaborative, engaging learning experiences. Osmo Learning Systems can help build foundations of coding, develop mathematic skills, foster critical thinking, and nurture interest in the visual and fine arts. Also, students would be using digital tools to communicate and work collaboratively while learning. This would help meet our district goals for technology.
