My Students
The students in my classes are a diverse group, from a multitude of backgrounds. Some are from families where they will be the first to attend college, while others are from families where paying the monthly bills is a challenge.
All students deserve an opportunity to create skills that they can take with them into the work force or to college.
They are eager for life skills that can help them, as they finish high school and move forward in their lives.
My Project
These materials will allow my students to create interactive group presentations. In addition, the post-its will help with collaborative reading and writing. I use them for students to leave messages for each other about their writing and for pre-writing and sharing ideas. The markers and boards will allow students to process ideas in groups.
The supplies will help us work in groups to read and discuss.
Like an adult book clubs we will make notes of interesting things in the text, ask questions, and share with each other. The goal of this project to get students invested in reading through a real-life reading format. My students love it when we can change up the activities that we do, and these materials will help keep our class fresh.
