This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and bring rich experiences with them. They are learning English as a Second Language and are motivated to learn about the culture of our school and community.
Our students are willing to share their own experiences and strive to succeed academically.
They seek out new ways of learning academically and socially. They are all unique and better our community. I am fortunate to be able to facilitate their learning and help them become wonderful young adults.
My Project
Experienced teachers and parents know that some children struggle with "sitting still". Floor seating and flexible seats provide students with options when traditional chairs and desks are too constricting.
Flexible seating helps those students who need to constantly move, but helps them keep their focus.
The Wobble Chairs help to safely promote comfort and movement. Students will be able to have seating that moves with them, but even those who like to wobble won't tip over. The Floor Seats give students a comfortable option with back support. It helps with promoting opportunities for students to work together or independently without interfering with others. Floor seating also works well for students using technology.
Anything that promotes learning, comfort, AND safety is a big plus for the classroom. Students will love having options for seating.
