My Students
My students are a wonderful group of kids. They are caring, friendly, and welcoming. They enjoy being in each other's company and value their classmates. They are excited to learn and it shows in how hard they work.
Learning today is much different than before.
Students are required to think, analyze their thinking, and explain their thinking to their classmates. In turn, their classmates will critique their thinking. These skills will not only help them in the classroom but later when they become adults. Helping them not only become good learners but good listeners, too.
My Project
Collaboration and student thinking are essential to learning. After using our desks and tables in the classroom with dry-erase markers, our arms, hands, and desktops are messy and hard to clean. Instruction has to stop so we can clean our desks to continue learning.
Having a whiteboard table in our room will help eliminate some of the mess.
We can work in small group at the table without making a huge mess on ourselves. This whiteboard table will make it easier to learn math because students can solve problems right on the table and it will erase easier than on the current tables we have. My students will be able to have a place to write without fear that it won't become cleaned.
