This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic and curious about the world. They come to school ready to learn and meet challenges head on. Their enthusiasm for learning is contagious, as they inspire me to challenge them and empower them with the skills they need to prepare them for the 21st century. My students need every opportunity to experience and learn with hands-on resources that stimulate their thinking. They live in a low-income neighborhood, and to most, English is their second language. 100% of them qualify for free lunch.

My Project

My third grade students thrive on new learning experiences with technology. They now have minimal access to technology due to the limited quantity of it in our classroom.

These 2 Chromebooks will allow my students to work on classroom projects through Google Classroom, to write collaboratively through Google docs, and work on TenMarks, along with other independent activities throughout the day.

Having access to these resources will be valuable to their learning because they will continue to have time to complete assignments that will help them become better writers, readers, mathematicians, and problem solvers. They will see their final products and feel proud of the effort they put into their work.
