My Students

My students are learning at several different performance levels. They struggle with cognitive impairments. Some kids also struggle with physical, speech, vision, occupational, and hearing impairments. The children are hands-on learners that have grown up with touch devices to learn, speak, entertain and as a calming activity.

My students are so awesome, and deserve what ever we can offer them that will increase their learning, attention span and positive collaboration with their peers.

We as educators, need to give our students the absolute best that we have to offer.

My Project

I have fallen in love with what the Promethean ActivTable will bring to my students' education. The table is a HD LCD 46” display which features a large, touch-sensitive screen. The ActivTable has software included that will allow me to personalize their lesson activities. My students all love the set of I-Pads that we use during centers and tech time. The kids amaze me with how they navigate the apps independently.

The best feature of the ActivTable is that six students can collaborate interactively at the same time.

They will be encouraged to work together to complete a lesson. "Collaboration" is the new buzz word in education.
