For the past 27 years, I have had the humble privilege of fulfilling my passion and living my best life - teaching and inspiring young minds. Throughout my career, I have been the teacher as well as the learner. Who knew that four, five, and six-year-olds could teach you so much? My students are strong, motivated, full of passion, fun, and a bit feisty. They love learning, exploring, making friends, and having fun in the process. If there was one thing that I would change about my students, it would be absolutely nothing.
These students with their love for school and passion for learning, encourage me to teach engaging and relevant lessons that spark their interest and foster a learning environment.
It's amazing to watch their growth from the beginning of the school year, unable to write their names; to the end of the year writing a short paragraph to tell a narrative story. Their excitement and enthusiasm as we create, learn, struggle, and succeed makes my teaching more meaningful and drives me to do more
This conference will allow me to connect with experts in the field of education to learn new strategies that will engage the many diverse learners in my classroom.
There are many great benefits to attending this conference that will allow me to grow professionally.
Guided reading, technology, STEAM, building relationships with students, creative arts, and establishing lasting relationships with parents are just a few of the sessions available at The I Teach K Conference. With the knowledge I acquire from attending this conference, my students will learn about the most up-to-date strategies and ways of learning math, reading, writing, technology, and social emotional ways to regulate their emotions. I enjoy learning, improving my craft, and fostering a love of learning in myself and in my students. This conference will allow me to do both.
