My Students
My students are from a high poverty area of Southeast Washington, DC. Often, my students do not have access to books, technology and educational resources outside the classroom.
My goal as a teacher this year is to make sure that every student has the resources to grow based on their personal learning goals.
I have students ranging from kindergarten to fourth grade reading levels.
My students are so excited to come to school each day and as their teacher, I want to provide them with a fun engaging classroom that will encourage them to work hard each day.
My Project
My third grade scholars also need stability disks to keep their wiggly bodies focused during instruction! There are scholars with special needs in my classroom and it is hard for them to sit in a chair all day at school. These stability disks allow for movement so brains can focus on learning!
There was water damage in our school over the summer and my carpet was ruined!
My students need a carpet to use during instruction so they can be up close to their learning and enjoy story time and morning meeting in an inviting space.
My scholars also need headphones for their computers. We are so fortunate to have Chromebooks in our classroom, but have no headphones! We need headphones to use computer programs during the day that align to our individual skills and areas of growth.
