It's cold outside and our area is experiencing a degree of cold weather that is not normal. Our students are standing outside waiting for buses or walking through howling winds to get to school. Our classroom doesn't have a thermostat that we can control. It takes a while for the classroom to heat up and some days it doesn't happen. I'm requesting a portable heater that is safe to use in a classroom and hat/scarf/glove sets for warmth. This heater is portable and light in weight so it can be moved to the back of the room where we have small groups. The hat/scarf/glove sets are for added warmth which helps to improve student attendance because students mention they are cold or don't have warm clothes.
