My Project
Every year the students in my community service organization participate in several community outreach activities where they serve different organizations while earning community service hours. As part of the early college program the students serve as a liaison between the school and the community and learn the importance of giving back through volunteering to support various organizations. Not only do the students earn community service hours, they learn a valuable lesson in supporting others, and developing strong leadership skills.
Students will also have the benefit of utilizing the coffee pot, coffee, cups and condiments to properly prepare and serve a delicious hot beverage the community.
Not only will they learn to to prepare coffee, but they will also learn how to properly measure per serving to maximize usage of the coffee, sugar and creamer in hot beverage cups with sleeves. Students will also be taught safety measures when serving the hot beverages, as well as appropriate customer service skills during their service of the beverage..
What I love about my students is that they have desire to be active citizens and they realize how their actions can have a positive impact.
