My Project
My students have been working hard on various social, communication, life, and money skills throughout the entire school year. What better way for them to retain this knowledge, and continue their growth in these areas than hands-on face to face experience?
Having these materials would enable us to open up a coffee cart for students to practice multiple academic and life skills, both big and small. Some of the skills that are included in this, but are not limited to, are interacting with new people (they tend to only talk to the staff and students in our self-contained classroom daily), taking an order, coping with emotions during stressful times, working collaboratively with others, and counting coins and dollars.
