Coding with Bee-bots and Ozobots

My students need Bee-bots and Ozobots to program as we learn to code this year.

My Students

My first-grade students aspire to be engineers, astronauts, doctors, scientists, and inventors (as well as police and fire men and women, veterinarians, teachers, and even imaginary superheroes). We are a STEM classroom, with all subjects including language arts integrated into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. What impresses me most about my students is that they don't give up when they are initially unsuccessful, but instead keep trying until they find a better solution. They are learning valuable skills as they work together to solve engineering design problems.

My Project

My first grade students are learning to code this year using the code.org program. The Bee-bots and Ozobots will bring their coding skills to life in a hands-on experience. They will love programming Bee-bots and Ozobots to complete challenges.

First graders will love learning to code with Bee-bots and Ozobots.

This is not something I could afford on my own, but as a STEM teacher, technology is an integral piece of my students learning.

First graders love learning to code, and it improves their math scores and hopefully encourages them to enter STEM fields for their future career choice. Thank you!
