Coding Through Play

My students need exposure to coding and educational skills with Osmo Games and an iPad.

My Students

Our classroom has a variety of learners this school year. The children range in all ability levels. Our school fosters to how each child learns.

Parent support is necessary to enrich the lives of all children.

Learning through play is an essential skill to develop a successful learner. Play allows children exploration, which helps develops critical thinking, problem solving and other life skills.

My second-grade students are a wonderful bunch of children and I want to provide them with the best resources in our classroom.

My Project

I would like my students to have the opportunity to learn basic coding. The Osmo games are kid-friendly and easy to store. An iPad is required to utilize the games and will be beneficial to the classroom. In my classroom, the Osmo will be utilized in reading and math centers as independent stations for the students to practice skills.

The iPad and the Osmo games have the potential to lay a foundation that could provide a promising future for many of my students.

The games include tangrams, word study, art, coding, and design. The games are interactive and allow for independent practice of such skills.
