Coding Our Future: Chromebooks for Middle School Programmers

Help me give my students real-world tech skills with Chromebooks they can use daily for coding, programming, and digital creativity in our computer science class.

My Project

I teach an amazing group of middle school students who are eager to learn how to code, solve problems, and use technology in creative ways. They come to class full of curiosity, energy, and a desire to understand how the digital world works-not just use it, but create with it.

My students are future engineers, artists, designers, and innovators.

They come from backgrounds where access to technology is limited and often non-existent. When they walk into my classroom, they enter a space where they're free to experiment, explore, and build.

My students are learning valuable 21st-century kills like coding, programming, and digital design. To do that effectively, we need reliable Chromebooks that can stay in the classroom and be used daily.

These Chromebooks will allow students to:

-Write and run code using block-based and text-based programming platforms

-Design animations, games, and interactive projects

-Collaborate in real time through Google Workspace and other online tools

-Explore robotics, AI, and web development as part of our evolving curriculum

Having a dedicated set of classroom Chromebooks means students won't lose time sharing or troubleshooting older devices. Instead, they can focus on creating, learning, and building the skills that will prepare them for the future.

With your help, my students will have daily access to the tools they need to think critically. problem-solve, and become confident creators of technology-not just consumers of it. These Chromebooks will empower them to explore STEM fields, build digital literacy, and develop skills that are vital in today's workforce.
