This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Arcadia’s STEM Club and my classroom students have been exploring coding with the LEGO Spike kit. As we complete various projects, we learned that we needed to have access to more motors. Having these motors will allow students to create and code several smaller projects at one time. These smaller projects will be used to create a larger-scale project.

My goal for this project is to allow the students’ creativity to be set free.

Students can use these motors to make different projects without having to worry about transferring one motor to another.

Many of our students at Arcadia are not given the opportunities to use various technologies at home due to lack of internet. In my classroom, I want to make sure they can explore all the engaging hands-on technologies, too.
